# forbidden

> The token lacks the required scope or organization access.

| Status | Type |
| - | - |
| `403` | `permission_error` |

The token is valid, but it can't perform this request.

One of these is usually the cause:

* the token lacks the OAuth scope the endpoint requires
* the integration has no access to the organization in `X-Organization-Id`, or
  the token is bound to a different organization

## How to fix

Request a token with the required scope, or ask your Nova admin to grant the
access. Don't retry the same request. A missing-scope `403` sent with an `Idempotency-Key`
is stored, so retry with a new key once the token has the scope.
