An entity is an investor or other recipient in your organization’s directory, such as an individual, an LLC or a trust. Distribution payments are paid to entities, at their payment instructions. type is the entity’s legal form, e.g. individual, llc or trust. Use external_type and external_reference to store your own type and identifier. An entity is linked to a vehicle automatically when a distribution from that vehicle includes a payment to it.
