Payment instructions are the bank details an entity is paid to. One entity can have several.

Creating

POST /v1/payment_instructions creates instructions for one or more entities in a single call. Each item in an entity’s payment_instructions array is one rail, chosen by type: Wires also need the beneficiary’s address, and can include an intermediary bank. PO box addresses are accepted, but are treated as not yet valid.

Reading

GET /v1/payment_instructions/{id} returns ach and wire as separate blocks, because one set of instructions can carry both rails. Either block is omitted when that rail isn’t set up. Full account numbers are never returned, only account_number_last_four. Beneficiary addresses and free-text wire instructions are not returned either.
